My full name is Vishnuvardhan Reddy Medapati. It’s a mouthful, which
causes me to find it difficult to introduce myself to new people. I was born in
Andhra Pradesh, a state in the southern part of India. I came to the US at the
age of 18, to pursue my Bachelor’s degree in Architecture at Woodbury
University in Burbank, California. It has been an amazing four-year stretch in
this school, which has gone by extremely quickly. Not only has it provided me a
vast amount of useful skills in my discipline and other disciplines, but also
in life experiences.
Apart from architecture I have several interests. I enjoy travelling,
and have been lucky enough to have been able to visit half of the world at my
young age. One of the reasons I love traveling so much is my fascination of
experiencing new cultures and learning new traditions. Every time I get a break
from school I attempt to go to a new place. Of the little time that is spent
away from the demanding academic architecture life, I invest it in reading books,
spending time with my friends and meeting new people. I love music and spend a
generous amount of time browsing for new tunes.
Being in a new country, trying to adjust to a foreign educational
system can be challenging. As IPAs we are here to help you make a smooth
transition into your new environment. I’ve been in your position and understand
the obstacles you face. I’m here to help!!
